In-Home Furniture Requests - Pinnacle

Sometimes you may want to remove furniture from your home or ask for more. This is called an in‑home request, and you can normally do this once while living in the home.

You may be able to make more than one request if:

– You have a new baby
– You need furniture because of a disability or special need
– You are going overseas and your own furniture has already been shipped
– Your furniture is damaged (you may be charged if it was damaged on purpose) (JSP 464 Vol 1 Pt 1, Paragraph 0604).

Changing your furniture may change your accommodation charges, depending on your furniture points. If your points stay within the same band, your charge will not change.

The cost depends on your home’s band and how many items you ask for. Your home will be classed as fully furnished or part furnished based on what you request.

When the DAS provider contacts you, they will tell you which charge applies.

You can find a table showing the points for each furniture item in JSP 464, Volume 1, Part 2, Chapter 6, Annex B.

If you don’t need a piece of furniture anymore, please tell us and we will arrange to remove it.

When your furniture is delivered, you will sign an inventory to show what you have received and that everything is in good condition.

You must look after the furniture while you live in the home. If anything is missing or damaged (more than normal wear and tear) when you move out, you may have to pay for it. The cost depends on how bad the damage is, and if something is missing you may be charged the full replacement cost.

Please remember to tell us if any furniture or parts of the property are damaged.

Kendrew Barracks, Cottesmore

Unfortunately, all DAS furniture ‘In Occupancy’ requests (including supply, collections, and exchanges) have been temporarily suspended at Kendrew Barracks, Cottesmore. The collection of DAS furniture at move-out has also been paused.

We hope the situation at Kendrew Barracks is resolved quickly so that the full DAS furniture service can resume.

Only vital DAS items requested via Pinnacle ‘In Occupancy’ will continue to be delivered. All other items (including non-essential supply, exchanges, and collections) are suspended until further notice due to an incident at the DAS site within Kendrew Barracks.
